Vacation Bible School is just around the corner (August 4th-7th)! Once again this year, VBS is asking for donations of school supplies to benefit People to People’s “Back to School with Dignity” Program. You can help a child who might not otherwise have a successful start to the school year. Drop off donations in the Colonial Room at NHPC or bring them to VBS at Germonds Church — all basic, new school supplies are needed and greatly appreciated.

The youth group reminds the congregation to give generously to the food drive. School will be out for the summer starting in June and running until the beginning of September. Many children take advantage of the free or reduced-rate breakfast and lunch programs at their schools, and will not be able to during the summer. The youth group and the mission committee have designated that the local portion of this year’s Pentecost offering will go to support Club Venture, a program of Camp Venture. Club Venture takes place on Saturday afternoons and offers respite to young people with developmental disabilities and their parents.
