Thanksgiving Baskets 2020
Our tradition continues! New Hempstead Presbyterian Church has a long history of donating “Thanksgiving Baskets” to local families in need, and this year the need for a hearty Thanksgiving meal is greater than ever in our community. Be sure to bring your non-perishable food items (see list below) to church by Sunday, November 15th. Bring in perishable items (turkey and loaf of bread) on Sunday, November 22nd (or contact us to make other delivery arrangements). You can also sponsor a basket, and we’ll do the shopping for you–a full basket costs $40, but any amount donated will be appreciated. Be sure to indicate “Thanksgiving Basket” on your check. Baskets will be distributed to local families in need via the Martin Luther King Center in Spring Valley. Contact Mark Zacheis if you know of a family in need, so we can be sure to have a basket for them, as well.
Any or all of the following items are needed by November 15th, unless otherwise noted:
