Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights. It symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. As part of NHPC’s commitment to foster racial and intercultural understanding, we’ll be holding an intercultural event on Saturday, October 11th to learn more about Diwali. Our guest, Dr. Nomita Verma Pfaff, who is Hindu, will teach us about the festival, with candles, sparklers, and food (of course!). Sign-up sheet is in the Colonial Room.
